President oath ritual

New Delhi July 16: The presidential election would take place tomorrow.The new President elected would be sworn into office by the Chief Justice of India. The president's oath would be preceded by an honored ritual conducted in the Central Hall of Parliament on July 25.

The ritual procedure is as follows

* On 25 July, the presidential horse driven coach or “buggy” will arrive at the
residence of the president elected.

* The newly elected president would arrive at the central hall of Parliament in the
horse driven buggy.

* THE CJI would administer the oath taking process.

* Current President Pranab Mukherjee will then exchange seats with his successor.

* The new president after the ceremony would leave for the Rastrapathi Bhavan.

* Former president would leave for the newly allocated building.
