Vice Cheif of Army granted more powers

New Delhi July 14: Another key decision was taken recently. The central government has granted the Vice-Chief of Army Staff, Navy and Air chief full financial powers for emergency procurement of critical spares and ammunition in specified areas which are essential during a war.

Sources say that this move would solve the issues of critical shortages in defense preparedness. Last year the government reviewed the defense preparedness and found some lapses to fight a short, intense war of 15 days.

Experts say that this decision would help the army take critical decisions and the financial burden would be not be counted. They also feel that this move would help the country to fight emergency wars if necessary during LOC whether it may be Pakistan or with China. Finally, the Indian Army has hailed this move.
