12 years wait in USA

Washington July 12: A shock has been felt by Indians who reside in the USA. Sources say that Indians must for 12 years before they get a permanent residency. Currently, Green card is mandatory for getting permanent residency in the United States of America, these cards are issued for skilled employees who want to settle permanently in the country.

Statistics reveal Indians receive a greater share of green cards compared to other countries. Sources say that government is processing applications of people who have applied inMay 2005. it means that there is a 12-year delay or waiting list.

Experts say that nearly 36 % of green cards are issued to H1 -B visa holders. Currently, a green card holder can apply for permanent residency after five years of residency in the US.

Officers say that long wait is required because of the increase in the number of applications being received for PR in the country. Let's hope that Indians rethink once again before applying for permanent residency.
