KTR about the development of Municipal corporations

Hyderabad, July 11: State municipal Minister KTR has been announced that the aim of the city governments in Telangana is to bring Hyderabad to the status quo. K.T. Rama Rao said all measures would be taken to develop all municipal corporations in the State on par with Hyderabad.

The city governments should work to provide infrastructure in cities. The state government has special ideas on urbanization. Emphasis will be laid on the provision of basic amenities in the corporations.

The State government is focused on urbanization of municipal corporations and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao is according top priority to the development of municipal corporations, said the Minister.

In the Metro Rail Bhavan, Minister held a wide-ranging meeting with Mayors, MPs, MLAs, district collectors and commissioners of the city governments in the state.

Warangal, Khammam, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, and Ramagundam reviewed the ongoing development activities in the municipalities.

KTR suggested that officers and public figures should move forward to achieve the highest standards. We have to use special funds provided by the Chief Minister to the cities.

"Collectors should constantly monitor the progress of different development works being taken up in respective municipal corporations," said Rao.

Targets should be set in taking up works and efforts should be made to declare all municipal corporations in the State as free of open defecation, he said. MPs Kavita, Dayakar, Balakum Suman, Pongalati Srinivas Reddy, MLAs, Collectors, and Commissioners participated in the meeting.
