GST effect on TTD Room Rents

Tirupati, July 10: The Tirumala Tirupati Devastan has announced here on Sunday that the GST(Goods and service Tax) will be applicable for rental rooms in Tirumala.

With this new approach, GST is going to be burdened on devotees who have paid above Rs.1000 for rented rooms.

There is no burden of GST on the common devotees because the GST is not available for rooms, which have below Rs.1000.

The GST has imposed 12 percent on rent between Rs.1,500 and Rs.2,000. The GST was imposed by 18 percent on rent between Rs.2,500 and Rs.6000. The TTD has appealed to the devotees to observe these changes.

As we know that, the unique taxation method GST has exempted for Tirupati Laddu.
