New Delhi July 9: The effect of GST is clearly visible on the companies.Some companies have reduced the prices and some more are expected to follow the trend.

Coalgate a popular FMCG company has reduced its tooth brushes and tooth pastes prices by 8-9 %. The company has said that we have reduced the prices to pass on tax benefits to customers. Sources say that tax rate on toothpaste has come down from 24 % to 18 %.

The new prices will be applicable from stocks delivered after July 1.

* Colgate Strong Teeth (100 gm toothpaste price has been fixed at Rs 46. earlier it was RS 52.

* Colgate SlimSoft Toothbrush, MRP has been reduced to Rs 60 from RS 65.

ITC has said that 30-35 % discounts are available on products such as
Fiama shower gel and bar range, Savlon Soap, Vivel soap, and Superia.

* Luxury car Lamborghini Aventador S price has been reduced by RS 1 crore. The company has announced its new price to be Rs 5.21 crore compared to previous price Rs 6.23 crore. The tax on the luxury car has been reduced to 43 % from 55 %.
