Bonalu celebrations started

Hyderabad, July 09: As we knew that, The Telangana Govt has been sanctioned the 10 crores for the historic festival Bonalu in Telangana State. From this aspect, The two-day annual Bonalu festival at the historic Sri Ujjaini Mahankali Temple in Secunderabad started on a colorful note here on Sunday.
Thousands of devotees stood in queues to have darshan of the goddess. Women clad in pattu saris offered 'bonam' made with cooked rice mixed with jaggery and curd to the goddess.
Ahead of Bonalu, The Govt has been installing of LED lights. they had procured 2,500 such lights for the south zone of the GHMC.
Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav’s family offered the first bonam to the deity around 4 am. Nizamabad MP K Kavitha also offered bonam to the goddess.
