KTR about Metro services

Hyderabad, July 9: The Telangana Minister for Information technology KT Rama Rao has attended an awards function of Ashok Leyland India at Somajiguda here on Saturday.

While speaking to media, KTR said that the much-awaited public transport scheme Metro project will be launched soon and the works are going fast in the city.

Recently, Metro works are stopped by some reasons, which revealed by Hyderabad Metro Rail services.He made it clear that the Metro services would be launched sometime later this year.

KTR also said that "I often face questions about the launch of Metro Rail services, whenever the similar facility is launched somewhere in the country. Such questions will get answer this year as the HMR is set to be launched soon."

He suggested the transport operators provide comforts such as on-bus infotainment, wi-fi facility, better safety measures and others to attract more and more commuters.

Later, he gave away the awards along with Deputy Chief Minister Md. Mahmood Ali. The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation won the award for best employee welfare among government transport bodies.
