Indians guilty of call centre scam

Washington, July 9: Two Indian-Americans yesterday have pleaded guilty to the charges of their involvement in a US call center scam. Sources say that the two men are identified as Bhavesh Patel from Arizona and Asmitaben Patel, from Illinois.

They have admitted that they have committed fraud in telephone impersonation and money laundering scheme. Charges are framed against them for committing fraud and money laundering.

Earlier these people have demanded million dollars from people located in us acting as agents of call centers located in India such as Ahmedabad, Mumbai.

These people have also threatened US victims with arrest, imprisonment, fines or deportation.The Judge has further elaborated how these call center operators operate and their complex system to obtain illegal funds.Let's hope that justice is delivered soon and criminals are punished.
