Fake job racket busted by Karimnagar Task force

Karimnagar, July 7: The Karimnagar Task Force police have arrested five persons here on Thursday for cheating the youth pretexting of giving government jobs by issuing fake appointment letters.

While speaking to media here on Thursday, Commissioner of Police V.B. Kamalasan Reddy said that they had arrested main accused Mahmood Chand Pasha (35) a native of Gangadhar Mandal, Kothakonda Rajender (38) running a Dhaba in Nagunur village, Narsingoju Sridhar (37), net cable operator in Karimnagar town, Ileni Sai Chand (25), a call centre employee of Gangadhar Mandal and Pallerla Ranjith (28) auto driver of the town.

The police recovered Rs.15,000, one Tata Indica car, a Tata Sumo car, one auto-rickshaw and two mobile phones from their possession. Mahmood Chand Pasha, a frequent offender, who was earlier arrested on cheating the youth promising jobs, came out on bail and met the other four accused and planned to make a fast buck by cheating the unemployed youth.

The accused had collected Rs.60,000 to Rs.1.80 lakh from innocent unemployed youth for providing employment in Telangana Water Grid, Mission Bhageeratha, NTPC and other sectors.

They prepared fake appointment letters, ID cards and stamps and forged signatures and cheated the youth. Following a complaint by the victims, the police nabbed all the five accused. Assistant Commissioner of Police J. Rama Rao and others were present at the press conference.
