Arun Jaitley counter to congress

New Delhi, July 7: A reality was disclosed yesterday. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley yesterday has said that Vajpayee was the first man to take the first move towards a landmark GST and not a Congress government.

Minister has said the above words when spoke at an event. He has given details of the history of Indias largest reform since Independence. He has quoted that Vajpayee government in 2003 constituted Kelkar committee and it has submitted a report.

He also said that the main recommendation was that all central government and state government taxes must be unified into GST. Finally, he said that The UPA government has continued the reform and has brought a Constitutional Amendment Bill in 2011 but it couldn't make the way.
