Obese IPS officers are not eligible

New Delhi, July 6: A sad news for IPS officers. The central government will soon link promotion of the police officers with their Physical fitness. Currently, this system is applied in central para-military forces were people belonging to a certain fitness are eligible for promotion.

Sources say that the Home Ministry has written to all state governments regarding this issue and a final decision would be taken after the response is received.

The government feels that this move would promote health awareness among the officers and they would perform their duty well when they stay healthy and Fit.The following officers would be primarily affected such as
* DIG
* IG
* ADG
* DG

Let's hope that IPS officers take care of their body and maintain certain shape so that they would be eligible for promotion.
