Railway Board to set up National Railway Academy

Vijayawada, July 6: The Railways Department has decided to set up two prestigious academies in Andhra Pradesh. The National Academy of Railway Security will be set up in 33 acres at Guntupalli village of Ibhrahimpatnam near Vijayawada and the RPF Commando Training Center will be set up in 244 acres near Pettukonda in Anantapur district.

The railway board has approved the two proposals. The Railways has decided to strengthen the internal structure of the railway system as it is increasingly threatening the railways. In these academies, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) will provide security training to RPSF personnel.

RPSF battalions are currently facing the land problem also. In this aspect, The National Railway Safety Academy has decided to set up an academy in AP. It is designed to serve as a center of excellence training trainers across the country.

Similarly, the Commando Training Center is being set up in Penukonda in keeping with the guarantee given to the 3364 question on August 10, 2015, in Lok Sabha.

With the addition of 244.24 acres of land in one place, the local climate of commando training was also decided in Penukonda. Here the training is also given to RPSF battalion.
