Telangana to help Goa

Hyderabad, July 06: In order to strengthen the Startups and as well as the IT Sector, The Goa government has sought the help of the TS government in promoting startups, e-Governance, IT innovation and digital literacy in Goa.

In continuation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed last year between Goa and Telangana for mutual cooperation in IT and Skill Development, the Goa government has sought the support of the Telangana government for guiding and improving IT ecosystem.

A Goa delegation led by IT Minister Rohan A Kaunte, now on a two-day visit to the State, visited TASK (Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge) office, STPI-Hyderabad (Software Technology Parks of India), several IT companies, startups and animation studios in Hyderabad.

The Goa delegation held a discussion with IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao on areas of cooperation between the two States. Kaunte urged the TS government to handhold Goa which is at a nascent stage in IT sector besides cooperating in the establishment of startups, e-Governance system and digital literacy in Goa.

He praised the innovative initiatives of his TS counterpart which strengthened the roots of IT sector in Hyderabad after the State bifurcation. He appreciated the government's innovative measures, including TASK and Green Gold TV animation studio, where he said that such initiative in Goa can propel immense growth.
