GST :New MRP rules notified

New Delhi July 5: The government has given some clarity for traders and manufacturers. Central Government has notified new MRP rules under GST regime. The new rules are as follows

* All manufacturers must print revised MRP under the GST and 3 months time has been given.

* Legal Action will be taken against the concerned people who don't comply with the law.

* If a price of a product has increased under GST the manufacturer/ importer must give an
advertisement in two newspapers about the new MRP and must label the Revised sticker on the packaging
of the product.



* For products whose prices have decreased under the new tax regime, no newspaper advertisements is
needed but a sticker mentioning the new MRP and the old price should be displayed on commodities.

Finally, the customers are happy because they would now whether the prices of the products have increased or decreased under GST.
