Hyderabad June 29: We knew that few days a back 18-month-old baby has died when falling into an uncovered borewell at a village in Ranga Reddy district.
From this aspect, The Telangana Govt has been taken a step to close the Unwanted borewells here on Wednesday.
Telangana government has ordered the district authorities to cover up all the non-functional bore wells.
Announcing the same, Panchayat Raj Minister Jupally Krishna Rao on Wednesday said that the government has set a deadline of July 10 for the non-functional bore wells to be filled up and if not, a fine of Rs 50,000 will be imposed.
Stating that a survey of bore wells not in use will be undertaken, the Minister said that a permission of 15 days in advance needs to be taken for those who wish to dig a fresh bore well, failing which a penalty of Rs 1 lakh will be imposed.
