Vijayawada, June 28: The Andhra Pradesh Chief Engineer for Public Health and Municipal Engineering, Panduranga Rao has been suspended by the AP government, who was recently accused in illegal assets case and after a case was filed against him.
ACB registered a case against Panduranga Rao and send him to jail after conducting raids where they seized assets disproportionate to known sources of income with a market value around Rs 800 crore.
A locker registered in the name of Panduranga Rao's brother-in-law at Karur Vysya Bank in Jangareddygudem held 1,300 grams of gold and property documents.
The ACB officials are yet to open more lockers in Visakhapatnam.
