Prakasam district collector inspects 'Neeru Pragathi' works

Andhra Pradesh: Prakasham, June 28: The Prakasam district Collector V. Vinay Chand has instructed to the administration officials to take up over 2,700 'Neeru Pragathi' works to restore watercourses at a cost of Rs. 210 crore.

While inspecting the ongoing works at Nagireddipalle village near Veligandla, he said "The next two weeks are crucial. The ground level staff should speed up the work and ensure their completion before July 20."

Overseeing the ongoing feeder channel and percolation tank works in the village, he said it was all the more necessary to upload the details of the works undertaken on the website concerned.

The ambiance at the water conservation sites should be improved by planting saplings after removing thorny shrubs, said the Collector.

He also interacted with the students and teachers of the Mandal Parishad Primary school and the health staff at the Primary Health Centre.
