Facebook reaches 2 billion people

Houston USA, June 28: A record has been created. Facebook has set up another record. The online social media platform has said that currently, 2 billion users are active on Facebook every month.

Company co-founder and chief executive said that "It's an honor to be on this journey with you".He also said the number of active users in a month is bigger than the population of any single country.

Sources say that the company defines monthly active users who fulfill the following criteria

* Must be a registered user.

* The user must log in and visited the social media platform through
its website or a mobile device in the past 30 days.

The company said that number of users has increased by 17 % in last 1 year. The company has reached 1 billion users in October 2012.

The company has said that there Instagram is used by 700 million users in April. The company hopes that many more users will join Facebook coming days.
