BJP Slammed the Congress party

New Delhi, June 28: The BJP on Tuesday slammed the Congress party for expressing 'disappointment' over the outcome of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's meeting with the US President Donald Trump in Washington saying it only reflected the Opposition party's "frustration" and "jealousy".

Addressing media persons here, Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu said he was far from surprised by the Congress reaction to Modi's US visit.

He said the success of the Modi-Trump meeting and the PM's previous foreign visits had only held a mirror to the opportunities that had gone abegging during the Congress-led UPA's decade-long tenure at the Centre.

"I am not surprised to know of the disappointment expressed by Congress over Prime Minister's visit to the US and his meeting with President Donald Trump last night. Congress deliberately refuses to see and believe the significant outcomes of this visit of PM and his meeting with the new US President for the first time. This is born out of 'sheer jealousy and guilt' as Prime Minister's every foreign visit holds mirror to the lost opportunities during the ten years of UPA rule," Naidu said.
