Government hospitals gets makeover

Hyderabad, June 28: A good news for the Telangana People, The Secondary hospitals in the Hyderabad's city are receiving a makeover from the State government, so as to attract the people.

Senior health officials said the government was working to give the hospitals a makeover to increase footfalls, by giving them a corporate hospital-like appearance and ramping up service.

Apart from the hospital’s visitors’ area, spaces like labour units were being modernised. After the introduction of the KCR Kits scheme, Government hospitals had seen an increase in institutional delivery cases.

On Tuesday, I.T. Minister K.T. Rama Rao tweeted on the modernisation work undertaken at King Koti Hospital and Malakpet Area Hospital. He called the efforts the "changing face of healthcare".

In a series of tweets that followed,KTR added:"Healthcare with aesthetic sense! The hospital exteriors undergoing street art + landscaping inspired by our Municipal Administration & Urban Development (MA&UD) team effort in Necklace road."

Health minister C Laxma Reddy also joined in and in his reply to KTR's tweet posted: "Following in the footsteps of Bangaru Telangana, we will definitely achieve a Healthy Telangana."
