Andhra Pradesh: Vijayawada, June 27: The former minister and Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham has declared here on Monday, that he would launch his padayatra seeking BC reservations for Kapus from July 26. The yatra would begin from his home turf of Kirlampudi in East Godavari district.

While speaking to media, Mudragada has released the route map of his padayatra. The yatra would cover both East and West Godavari and Krishna districts. He also released an open letter to Chandrababu Naidu on the issue of Kapu reservations.

He said there was no question of going back on the Padayatra. He also criticized Chandrababu Naidu's decision to consult with the BCs as to whether to give reservations to Kapus.

He also said that, "Why did he include Kapu reservations in his election manifesto? Why did he make the promise during the time of the elections? We do not want to take a share from the BC's. We want special reservations for Kapus."
