APCC chief supports Kapu leader Mudragada

East Godavari, June 26: The APCC Chief N. Raghuveera Reddy has extended his support to the Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabam in the padayatra in Kirlampudi in East Godavari district here on Friday.

While speaking to media, The Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president met with Mr. Padmanabam, said Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was trying to create discord between different communities to meet his selfish ends.

The Telugu Desam Party made 126 caste-related promises to different communities, but not even one had been fulfilled in the three years that passed after it came to power. Top on the list of communities that had been deceived was Kapu, he said.



AICC president Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahul Gandhi also supported the cause of the Kapus, Mr. Raghuveera Reddy said.

Later, speaking at an Iftar feast hosted by the Congress at Andhra Ratna Bhavan here, Mr. Raghuveera Reddy said that the TDP had ruled for three years without any representation from the Muslim community in the Cabinet. Muslims were being reduced to second class citizens in the State and they were feeling insecure.
