Police seized 747 grams of gold at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport

Telangana, Hyderabad, June 25: Hyderabad Customs officials have been seized a whopping 747 grams of gold of foreign origin from two different passengers at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Shamshabad here on Saturday.

Coming to the details, according to a press release, Based on specific intelligence, Customs officials of the Air Intelligence Unit recovered the gold valued at Rs.21.73 lakh from two flyers who arrived from Jeddah on a Saudi Airlines aircraft SV 754.

The first passenger had concealed two gold bars weighing 366 grams worth over Rs.10.65 lakh in a specially made pocket while another passenger concealed two gold bars weighing 381 grams worth around Rs.11.08 lakh in a secret pocket in his jeans.
