Endowment Organisations held a protest in Vizag

Vishakapatnam, June 24: The Visakha District Endowment Organisations and Employees' Welfare Association have continued the protest for the third day on Friday with the agitators performing Chandi Yagam and indulging in novel protest by walking on their knees.

Speaking on the occasion, general secretary of the district Archaka Sangam Ayiluri Srinivasa Deekshitulu alleged that while they were organizing the agitation peacefully to press for the pending demands, the Endowment officials were attempting to foil it.The protest demonstrations were done by members of Visakha District Archaka Sangam, Navyandhra Archaka Sangam.

"The officers are creating obstacles to our agitation and not allowing the employees to join us. The temple staff should work only in temples but the officials in the name of protocol duty are making them work in the offices of the Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner", he said.

He also warned if the officials continued the same hostilities, the protesters would not hesitate to stall the Jagannatha Rath Yatra slated to be held on Sunday.
