President approved the unified service for teachers

New Delhi, June 23: The problem of unified service rules for teachers has been solved permanently.

The President Pranab Mukherjee has approved the unified service rules for teachers in Telugu states. The relevant file was signed on Thursday. The presidential amendment to the 23rd to 26th Amendment was amended in Article 371 (d) by Presidential Order 1975.

The gazette notification will be issued within two to three days. In 1990, the AP government of Joint Commission was implementing the Joint Service Rules for Panchayati Raj and Government Teachers.They were dismissed by the High Court in 2003.

In 2005, the Government Ordinance was issued once again to enforce service rules. The state government has approached the Supreme Court as it dismissed the High Court.

On September 30, 2015, Supreme Court ruled that the Panchayath Raj teachers should also be government teachers and the post of the Presidential Order under Local Cadre.

The Central Government has ordered the process to be done soon. With the request of AP, Telangana Governments and Teacher Associations, the Central Government has initiated the amendment of the Presidential Order.

The Prepared file was sent to PMO office before a week, which was approved by Prime Minister in Two days ago.

The Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh for several times to intervene quickly.

With the approval of the President, the two states panchayat raj benefitted from the promotions. There are 1,30,000 panchayat raj teachers in Telangana and 1,60,000 Panchayat Raj teachers in Andhra Pradesh respectively.
