National Honor for Telugu literature

Telangana, Hyderabad, Metpalli, June 23: Telugu literature has been Bagged the National Honor here on Thursday.

Vasala Narsaiah from Metapalli village of Jagithyala district, who has been a major contributor to children's literature, has been awarded the Central Sahitya Akademi 'Balala Sahitya Puraskar-2017' here on Thursday.

Recognizing literary services through children's books for 35 years, he was selected for the award.

On November 14, 2017, he will be honored with a cash prize of Rs.50,000 in Delhi.

He wrote 670 inspiring stories for children. About 50 books have been published. Vivekananda, Gandhi, and Nehru wrote inspiration stories based on the events that took place in the lives of elite freedom fighters, along with freedom fighters.
