3500 Govt Officials under CVC radar

New Delhi, Anti corruAnti-corruption cases are increasing day by day.Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) has said that over 3,500 corrupt officials are being investigated by us. CVC also said that these officials belong to Group A or Class I and are working in different central and state government departments, and public sector companies.

Nilam Sawhney Secretary said that "we have booked cases against all these people and they are under our scanner and the cases against them are at various stages of proceedings. Sawhney said the organization is taking all kind of methods to prevent corruption including both preventive and punitive initiatives.

She said that "at least it takes minimum 3 years for a case to be closed completely". She has also said that we are taking steps to further cut down the time taken to complete all such pending cases.She said the above words during an event.Let's hope that government babus perform their duty well so that effective governance is delivered.
