7 arrested for involving in a murder case

Vijayawada, June 22: The Police have arrested 7 persons on Wednesday, who were accused in a murder case in connection with the attack on a person in a property related dispute. DCP G Palaraju produced the seven accused before the media on Wednesday.

The DCP said Lakkmisetty Ranga Rao, a resident of Shabada village under Vijayawada Rural Mandal limits, owns lands in Vemavaram, Shabada and other villages and had a property dispute with his relative Lakkimsetty Jamalaiah.

The victim alleged Jamalaiah hatched a conspiracy and attempted to murder him with six other persons on Tuesday.

Based on a complaint lodged by Ranga Rao, the Two Town police registered a case against seven persons Lakkimsetty Jamalaiah, Mallela Rajesh, S Mohan Prasad alias Peddaraja, Meda Suresh, Ch Anil Kumar, Kampa Pavan Kumar and P Ramana Babu and arrested them.

They also seized a vehicle bearing number AP 16 TX 2253.
