Student commits suicide

Hyderabad June 22: Police officials have been recovered the body of an 18-year-old girl, Samreena Sultana, who was found hanging at her residence in Royal Colony, here on Wednesday.

Coming to the details, Her father Khaja Sultan was a businessman, while her mother Zameen Sultan a housewife.

On Tuesday morning, the girl asked her father to buy her new dress for coming Ramazan festival but Khaja Sultan said he would buy her a dress next year.

The girl was alone at home after her father left for business and mother to relatives house on some personal work. Police said the incident would have occurred around 12 noon after her parents left the house.

Zameena Sultan who returned back in evening found her daughter's body hanging to the ceiling hook inside the bathroom.

"Though the exact reasons are not known as of now, we suspect that she would have felt depressed post her father denied her to buy a dress," an official said.

Based on the complaint, police have registered a case under sections pertaining to suspicious death and shifted the body to Osmania General Hospital morgue for autopsy. Further investigation is on.
