KTR: Govt allotted Rs 1200 crore for Handloom and Textiles wings

Hyderabad, Sirisilla, June 22: Telangana Industries & Textiles Minister KT Rama Rao has been commented handloom industry here on Wednesday.

He vowed that the State government was taking every measure to ensure that Weavers community lives with self-respect.

KTR has been Launched a three-year development plan for Sircilla segment and asserted that the government is with the weavers and working people in the handloom industry who will get orders for producing clothes and get enough income to lead better lives.

He also said the government has offered an order of clothes worth Rs 200 crore from the Weavers community.

In the budget, the government allotted a significant Rs 1200 crore for development and revival of Handloom and Textiles wings in the State.

The plan is to implement the scheme for the cause of weavers and handloom workers by offering them work and getting income he said.

"We are asking various departments to purchase handloom clothes and giving orders for the same," KTR said that the welfare of all sectors is key to the State's growth and the weavers should not get panic about their regular work as the government determined to get them all help.
