Couple committed suicide in Guntur

Andhra Pradesh: Guntur, June 21: Here a tragic incident has unveiled, while a 20 yrs old woman has committed suicide and her husband attempted to end his life in a room in a lodge in the Guntur city on Tuesday.

Circle Inspector AV Siva Prasad said K Mahima (20) and B Vasu Babu who fell in love, got married in 2015. The couple of Cobaltpeta checked in the lodge 10 days ago.

Meanwhile, Mahima committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan. Vasu Babu who was in an inebriated condition, slit his left hand with a knife. He was admitted to government hospital.



In a suicide note left by Mahima, she reportedly stated that she took the extreme step due to harassment by her mother-in-law and police inquiry against her husband who was involved in a theft case.

The police registered a case and sent the body for postmortem.Further investigation is going on.
