Harish Rao praises CM KCR

Hyderabad June 21: Telangana Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao has been praised Chief Minister K.ChandraShekhar Rao here on Tuesday, ahead of Sheep launching scheme in Siddipet.

He said Chief Minster K Chandrashekhar Rao had achieved the statehood to Telangana with Gandhian way of protests for over two decades.

Stating that the Chief Minister launched sheep distribution programme as the first step to achieve Grama Swarajya, a pivotal concept of Mahatma Gandhi that underlines of importance self-rule in villages.

To stop the migration to urban areas, Rao said Chief Minister wanted to develop the rural system on par with industries by designing programmes to boost all kinds of traditional occupations and agriculture.

The Minister said they wanted to see reverse migration by making all kinds of professions profitable in rural parts of the State. He said they would resurrect the rural economy by making each traditional occupation profitable.

Harish said they have set a model for rest of the countries with many innovative programmes by introducing the Mission Bhagiratha, Mission Kakatiya, She Teams and others. Stating that they were also improving the infrastructural facilities in rural areas on par with towns, the Minister said they would soon supply drinking water round the clock besides supplying irrigation water to one crore acres by completing all ongoing irrigation projects.
