Arun Jaitley urges Russian firms to invest in Defense

Moscow, Russia June 21: An Indian Minister is on a foreign tour. Defence Minister Arun Jaitley has today invited Russian industries to collaborate with Indian companies to manufacture defense items in the country under the Make in India scheme.

The Minister has Addressed the 5 plenary sess of the International Forum for Technological Development "TECHNOPROM". Jaitley said that Russia will have a comparative advantage when they tie up Indian firms .he also said that the Bilateral Ties between two countries have increased since 2000.



He also said that "currently both countries have cooperation in the wide range of issues such as trade, security, RUssiaeconomic relations and culture." He has also reminded that India and Russia have jointly collaborated Brahmos and Sukhoi fighter jet.

Finally, Minister has said that we have brought a new defense manufacturing policy and also cut down the red tape so that many investments are poured in this sector.
