Kerala CM Pinaray Vijayan addressed about Tribals

Vishakapatnam, June 21: The Kerala Chief Minister Pinaray Vijayan has addressed about tribals in a 3rd National Conference of Adivasi Adhikari Rashtriya Manch held at Vishakapatnam Steel Plant here on Tuesday.

Delivering the inaugural address at the third national conference of Adivasi Adhikari Rashtriya Manch at Ukkunagaram in Steel Township, he observed that Adivasis were leading a life of second-grade citizens in the country. The RSS and Sangh Parivar agenda was being imposed on them he alleged.

On the atrocities against tribal women, Vijayan felt that loopholes in the law and order are resulting in diluting the cases. The bauxite, coal and quarry mining is violating the rights of the Adivasis, he added.

The three-day conference would discuss the Government policies and their impact on the economic, political and social aspects of the tribals

He also claimed that Kerala was in the front in implementing the ST Sub-plan.
