Security gun down 2 Hizbul Militants in Kashmir

Srinagar India, June 21: An encounter took place today. Police said that Security forces have encountered 2 Hizbul Mujahideen militants in Sopore township of north Kashmir's Baramulla district, police said. The militants were identified as Basit Ahmad Mir, who is a resident of Indergam Pattan, Gulzar Ahmad, who is a resident of Brat Sopore.

The Security forces have launched a cordon and search operation in the area yesterday upon receiving inputs from intelligence regarding the presence of militants. The forces have tracked the militants and they have shot them when they opened fire on the soldiers.



Police said that they have seized 2 AK rifles,5 AK magazines, 124 AK rounds, a hand grenade and a pouch .they have also said that the operation is complete and peace is restored in the valley.
