Opposition parties react on Presidential candidate

New Delhi, June 19: Interesting developments are taking place. The BJP had announced its Presidential candidate and all parties have reacted in their own style. The comments made by some of the parties are as follows

Nitish Kumar: The JDU leader has given his support for his state leader Ramnath Kovid.

Ram Vilas Paswan: He has said that those who oppose NDA candidate are people who do harm for Dalit Communities.

The Congress has said that the decision was taken unilaterally.

Arvind Kejriwal, Mamata Banerjee, Sitaram Yechury have refused to comment and said they are with Congress.

The leader of opposition in Rajyasabha Azad has told media that "we don't want to comment on the candidate, we will take a call after we discuss with other opposition parties on June 22".

However, NDA feels that proposed candidate is a suitable and right candidate for Indias Top post because of high profile. Union Ministers Rajnath and Venkiah have meet Sonia Gandhi last week to gain her support .however she hadn't committed herself.

Meanwhile, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has tried to gain support from regional parties such as TRS, BJD and other parties by praising the steps taken by states for the welfare of the people.

Finally, the political situation has become a hot topic and let's wait for few more days so that EC can decide whether an election is necessary for electing the next President of India.
