Para Military forces disability compensation increased

New Delhi, June 19: A good news for paramilitary forces. The Ex-gratia compensation given for personnel when they suffer injuries that lead to 100 disability while performing duty has been increased to Rs 20 lakh from RS 9 lakh.

The home ministry had issued a Notification recently in this regard. The notification says that the increased compensation will be applicable to all central paramilitary forces who have attained disability on or after 1 January 2016.

The ministry has said that the decision to increase the compensation was taken after considering 7 pay panel report.Sources say that nearly 10 lakhs personal come under home ministries purview.

Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
Border Security Force (BSF).
Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).
Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP).
Assam Rifles (AR).
National Security Guards (NSG).
Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).
National Disaster Response Force (NDRF).

Finally, the forces have hailed the decision.
