JNU to introduce Yoga

New Delhi, June 18: A good news for students. Top management has agreed to introduce Short Term Yoga courses in JNU located in Delhi. The proposal got rejected earlier because many students and teachers have raised objections.

Senior Officials said that "granting an approval is like giving students a gift on the occasion of International Yoga Day". The proposal was earlier mooted in 2015 and it got rejected by Academic Council twice in 2015 and 2016.

Sources say despite rejection by AC the top decision-making body has taken such a decision because they feel that yoga helps in preserving our culture and heritage.

However, experts hail the move because when students do yoga their patriotism will be increased. Earlier JNU was wrapped for its controversies such as students supporting freedom of Pakistan and has celebrated death day of a terrorist Afzal Guru who was the main culprit in Indian Parliament attack in 2001.
