Rajnath Singh says Peace possible with dialogue

New Delhi, June 18: the crisis in Darjeeling hills has deteriorated. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today has urged protesters not to indulge in violence and must have a dialogue to resolve any issue.

He said that if the people create violence the problem would never be solved and the people living in the hills will never have a calm and peaceful life.

He also said that in a democratic country every problem can be resolved by having a dialogue. The minister has shared his feelings after he posted a series of tweets regarding the tense situation in Darjeeling.

Rajnath Singh posted a tweet saying that "I have spoken to Mamata Banerjee honorable Chief Minister of West Bengal regarding the issue and I hope that peace will be soon restored in the state."

The crisis in Darjeeling is deepening with the GJM party along with other small political parties have intensified the strikes for achieving separate Gorkhaland state.
