France honors Highest Civilian Award to Indian Women

France, June 17: An award was declared recently.Dr Bharti Sharma an Indian activist was conferred France's highest civilian award. She was awarded Knight of the National Order of the Legion of Honour. Alexandre Ziegler, France Ambassador of India, has given the award to her at her Residence located in France yesterday.

Dr. Sharma after receiving the award said that "I am grateful to the President of the French Republic and to Mr. Ziegler, for giving the Child Protection and Women Empowerment a top priority ". She also said that "the dedication, passion for my work has given me recognition".

She also said that "she has learned a lot from her journey and has converted my failures into opportunities for growth". Mr. Ziegler after presenting the award expressed that award presented to her is a recognition of Dr. Sharma's outstanding contribution and dedication to child protection and women empowerment. Finally, let's hope that she becomes a role model so that many more people work for women and child development.
