Fake company busted in Hyderabad

Hyderabad June 16: The Central Zone Task Force officials have been raided on fraud companies here on Thursday.

On Thursday, they raided a fake manpower recruiting agency, Al-Sidra Tours and Travels at Amberpet, and arrested two persons for allegedly cheating unemployed people by deploying them to employers abroad without any valid permission from the Protector General of Immigration, Ministry of External Affairs, India. Fake passports, fake education certificates, and other material were seized.

The arrested persons were Mohammed Ashraf (32), travel operator and resident of RK Nagar in Bagh Amberpet, and Sukka Shiva Kumar alias Chintu (23), a photographer and resident of Habsiguda in Nacharam.

According to the Task Force, Ashraf ran a fake consultancy and posed as a licensed agent recruiting Indians for jobs in Dubai. He collected about Rs 50,000 to Rs 65,000 from each job aspirant, promising them jobs as a supervisor, plumber, mechanic, cook, driver, laborer and other posts. He had claimed their salaries would be between Rs 50,000 and Rs 1 lakh. He also conducted fake interviews, police said, adding the suspects had collected passports and money from many candidates for visa processing but had not provided jobs.

The suspects and the seized material were handed over to Amberpet police for further action.
