Gorkhaland state demands intensify

Darjeeling, India June 15: A trouble is brewing up in India. The crisis in the Darjeeling hills deepened yesterday. Several political parties, including the Gorkha Janamukti Morcha (GJM) and Gorkha National Liberation Front (GNLF), have come together. The parties have unanimously adopted a resolution for formation of a separate Gorkhaland state.

A meeting which was called by GJM was attended by the other hill parties such as GJM, GNLF, the Gorkhaland Rajya Nirman Morcha, the Bharatiya Gorkha Parisangh (apolitical) and the Communist Party of Revolutionary Marxists, All India Gorkha League (AIGL), Jan Andolan Party (JAP).

Experts say that Mamata Banerjee had failed to handle the situation because some its members have joined the protest. All parties have said that we will intensify the protests for formation till center declares Indias 30th new state.
