RTA officials held a special drive, 12 buses seized

Guntur, June 14: The Road Transport Authority (RTA) sleuths have conducted a special drive to check the fitness of school buses along with Deputy Transport Commissioner GC Raja Ratnam in Guntur here on Tuesday.

While going to the matter, The RTA officials have seized 12 school buses for not possessing fitness certificate as part of the special drive.



The special drive was conducted to ensure the safety of children in the wake of commencement of the new academic year.

The Deputy Transport Commissioner GC Raja Ratnam has warned that strict action should be taken against the managements of private educational institutions if they run school buses without fitness certificate, he added.
