Death of the youth Now turned to a Murder

Hyderabad June 12: The death of a youth at Shamshabad in Hyderabad on March 24, 2017, has now turned out to be a murder and is suspected to have been a so-called 'honour' killing.

This murder comes close on the heels of the gruesome 'honour' killing of Naresh in Yadadri district recently.

According to the postmortem examination reports on the Somannagari Parameshwar Reddy, The experts found a head injury, disproving the suspicion of suicide by hanging.

Police officials then altered the suspicious death case to that of murder and are probing it from that angle.

Shamshabad Deputy Commissioner of Police PV Padmaja said that "The body bore a head injury and we are not sure of its cause. His family members are not revealing anything. Once we find howParameshwar received injury, the reason for and the cause of death can be established."

Responding to a query, she said, "We have come across reports about honour killing by Parameshwar’s family members but we are yet to get evidence."

Police officials started looking into the case when they got wind of the family attempting to complete the cremation of the body in a clandestine manner.
