RJD chief turns 70

Patna, June 11: A politician has become old today. RJD chief Lalu Prasad has celebrated his 70th birthday on Sunday. During the celebration, he said that he was committed to unite non-BJP parties ahead of the next general election held for Lok Sabha in 2019.

Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar has visited Lalu at his residence and greeted him and the two held talks for half an hour. CM told media that: "Lalu has contributed immensely to the development of the state".
Alliance partner chief said that "I thank all the party members and leaders of the Grand Alliance who have to meet me today".

He also said that soon we will counter Modi government by fielding our own presidential candidate. Sources say that he has celebrated his birthday in a simple manner by cutting a cake in the presence of his family members.
