Tanikella Bharani is encouraging to smoking?

Hyderabad June 10: Smoking is Injurious to health- and that caption is printed on every single cigarette packet but smokers never care about it. In similar fashion, there is a huge show reel added about 'say no to tobacco' before every film, but filmmakers don't really care about it if we have to say.

In yesterday's release 'Ami Tumi', as usual, there is a 'No Smoke Warning' video featuring Rahul Dravid at the beginning of the movie and then the makers also added the 'Smoking is Injurious to health' card. And still, during the interval break time, actor Tanikella Bharani advises youths to go have a puff.

During the film's interval bang, actually, Tanikella looks straight into the camera, (looking at the audiences) to say, "Ilanti interval bang evadanna ichada... break teeskondi.. coffeelu teelu sussulu vuffu vuffuulu kanicheyandi" (Have you seen an interval bang like this? Take a break. Have coffee, tea.. and others). While saying vuff ulu, he has given a gesture with his hands indicating that it's about smoking. One wonders how come the director makes his actor deliver such a message, quite contrary to what is said during the start of the movie.

Without cutting that scene, or muting the dialogue, or blurring out the gesture, how could Censor Board award an U certificate for film, which promoted smoking in the interval, though indirectly, is the question now?
