No whatsapp from June 30

Hyderabad, June 10: Facebook-owned WhatsApp, the messaging application used by the majority of the world has brought about many changes to its app in the recent past.

It is going to introduce the new feature called 'Recall'. On the other hand, it is going to provide new features for Apple iOS users also. However, Whatsapp does not work in various models of mobile phones from the end of this month.

While Coming to matter, The company officially made the announcement last year wherein it stated that while these mobile devices have an important part to play in their story, but they don’t offer the kind of capabilities they require in order to expand their app’s features in the future.

WhatsApp will no longer have support for a few Symbian, BBOS, Windows, Android and iOS operating system versions. While initially, they were to end support for devices by the end of 2016 but the company later extended the date till June 2017. Here are the devices that will no longer be supported, According to their official blog post.

WhatsApp Messenger ending its support on the following mobile platforms:

* Nokia S40

* BlackBerry, including BlackBerry 10

* Android 2.1 and Android 2.2

* Nokia Symbian S60

* iPhone 3GS/iOS 6

* Windows Phone 7.1

The company said in a statement that 'This was a tough decision for us to make, but the right one in order to give people better ways to keep in touch with friends, family and loves ones using WhatsApp.' Fortunately for most users, they can expect a great update too.

However, Mobiles which are working with above mentioned OS Versions will not able to use Whatsapp from end of the June, 2017.
