Kasperky files complaint on Windows 10 company

Germany, June 7: A shock was felt by a famous International company Kaspersky Lab has filed antitrust complaints in Europe against Microsoft. The Company earlier filed a complaint with Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS).

The main objection raised in its complaint was that the company is using its Windows operating system to promote its own anti-virus software over other products with Windows 10.

Reacting to the complaint filed in FAS the company has made some product changes but anti-virus company was not satisfied. So it has filed a complaint with the European Commission and the German Federal Cartel Office recently.

Anti-virus company claims that when users upgrade to Windows 10, from the previous version their prior chosen Antivirus is removed and the Microsoft is promoting its own anti-virus Windows Defender.

Kaspersky also claimed that the company did not provide sufficient time for us to test our products compatibility on Windows 10 upgrades. While Microsoft said that these steps were necessary for us to protect Windows users. Finally, the ball is in the court.
