Task Force raids on Milk Dairy farms, 15 arrested

Hyderabad, June 6: The City Task Force force police have conducted simultaneous raids on various milk dairy farms across the city here on Tuesday.

The police also arrested about 15 persons who were found injecting Oxytocin into buffaloes for higher yield of milk.

Police said the suspects used the chemical to inject into the cattle to obtain higher yields than normal in a very short time span. The unhealthy and unethical practice affects the animals and the humans who consumed such milk, they said.

The officials have seized about 15 bottles of Oxytocin, 16 syringes and other material from their possession.

Task Force also arrested a gang which was involved in preparing adulterated honey and ginger-garlic paste.
